Why I Chose Harry Potter
Well, stupid question...cuz they are good books! I admit I didn't want to read them cuz everyone under the sun was(that's me, rebel against the norm!), but my mom talked me into it, so I said, "Why the hell not." So I picked up the books...and I couldn't put them down! And hence came my devotion to the Harry Potter phenomenon. I'm so ashamed of myself!:D |

Harry Potter is an eleven year old wizard, only he doesn't know it. At the age of one, his parents were murdered by Lord Voldemort, and he was taken by Albus Dumbledore to stay with his relatives, The Dursley's, who hate any and everything to do with magic. They hide Harry's true identity, hoping he will never find out what he is. and ofr a long time he doesn't know. Until he recieves a letter from Hogwarts on his eleventh birthday, delivered by Hagrid, the Hogwarts gamekeeper. And his adventures being! There are four books so far in the Harry Potter series: The Sorceror's Stone(aka The Philosopher's Stone in the UK), The Chamber of Secret's, The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Goblet of Fire, with the fifth book, The Order of the Phoenix, due to come out sometime this year, followed by two more books, release dates unknown.

Sean Biggerstaff as Oliver Wood
And now comes the object of my affection from Harry Potter...Oliver Wood, played by Scottish actor Sean Biggerstaff(he's got a sexy accent!). Oliver Wood is the Captain of the Griffindor House Quidditch team. At times, he gets a little...obsessive about the game, but all in all he's a really good guy!
